One of the biggest challenges for the three-dimensional warehouse of four-way shuttle cars is the scheduling system. The scheduling of the HEGERLS four-way shuttle system is completely different from that of multi-layer shuttles. There is no intersection between multi-layer shuttles, and the path is relatively simple, only involving layer switching with the elevator. The running tracks of four-way shuttle cars intersect, and in large projects, there are many shuttle cars, often with more than one in the same tunnel. Therefore, the path planning, real-time control, positioning, scheduling, and other operations of shuttle cars are more complex, and because their tracks cannot be shared, many interval locks need to be done.
